I liked “The Suitcase” episode of Mad Men okay, but… Maybe it’s because I’m not a regular viewer of the show and the characters haven’t gotten under my skin like they have some people’s (“Peggy was so beautiful as she tried to arrange her arm over him. Their friendship is so rich and passionate. I know it’s tacky to even fantasize about the possibility of a blossoming romance between them…” Ack, darling, it’s a TV show!) Maybe it’s because Don Draper is less interesting to me when he’s overtly suffering than when he’s soldiering on. Maybe I’m just worried that Draper will wind up growing his hair down to his ass and Adbusting in Cali. But I do enjoy saddondraper. In small doses, anyway. (h/t soupsoup.)
